Newcastle to sue FA over Owen injury

Newcastle United is to seek damages from the FA following Michael Owen’s injury. The move to recoup part of the fee Newcastle paid for the player, his wages, the insurance paid to cover his wages and the cost of a replacement could eventually overhaul the way footballers are insured and paid for while on international duty, according to Grant Thornton’s Forensic and Investigation Services practice.
