£85,000 compensation for widow

A hospital has paid out £85,000 in compensation in an out of court settlement to the widow of a man who died of a haemorrhage. She sued the hospital for negligence, arguing that he could have survived if the diagnosis had been quicker. The same woman had received more than £1mn in compensation after her son was injured at birth due to negligence by medical staff.
