Latex allergy nurse wins £260,000

A dental nurse with an allergy to latex gloves has won £260,000 in damages. Her career was ended as a result of her potentially fatal allergy to latex gloves. She worked for the RAF and was invalided out because of her allergy, which developed after years of exposure to the gloves. The case was settled out of court. She argued that her employers had not done enough to prevent exposure to latex, despite medical warnings. She eventually suffered an anaphylaxic attack.
