Go-ahead for London local government insurer

A green light has been given for the creation of a first-ever London local government insurance company. The London Regional Centre of Excellence (LRCE) has approved funding of £115,000 to set up the guaranteed insurance mutual which will be owned by participating authorities. It will be open to all 32 London boroughs, the Corporation of London and the Greater London Authority.
