MDU pays £8.5mn over 10 years for cosmetic surgery claims
The Medical Defence Union paid out just under £8.5mn in compensation and legal costs over the last 10 years to patients harmed
by cosmetic surgery procedures. The majority of claims were made by patients who had breast and facial surgery and were dissatisfied
with the outcome of the procedure.
