Problem of periodical payments being “reasonably secure”
Section 2(3) of the Damages Act 1996 provides that a court may not make a periodical payments order unless satisfied that
payments under the order are “reasonably secure”. Section 2(4) deems there to be reasonable security “ where the source of
payment is a government or health service body”.
