£300,000 settlement over mother’s death
An NHS Trust has paid £300,000 in a settlement over the death of a woman after the birth of a still-born baby. The mother
of two bled to death following complications after she was advised by doctors to give birth to the stillborn child naturally
rather than by caesarean section. The Trust admitted liability for breach of duty.
