In two separate cases, two boys who suffered extremely severe injuries at birth have received ground-breaking settlements, according to their law firm, Leigh Day & Co. For both of them, the bulk of the compensation is made up of very substantial inflation-linked, tax-free annual payments designed to cover their care and special needs for the rest of their lives.
