City bank to be sued for unfair dismissal

A city bank is being taken to an employment tribunal by one of its female employees for unfair dismissal. The woman, who was head of asset and liability management in HBOS’s treasury department, reportedly earned around £600,000. She is claiming unfair dismissal, sexual discrimination and victimisation. The bank said that her allegations had been investigated and were unfounded, and it would fight the case in court.
