£3mn claim for damages rejected

The High Court has rejected a £3mn claim for damages from a woman who was injured jumping 12m from a hostel window. She was left permanently disabled by the jump, which was in order to escape from a group of young people. She had sued various organisations involved with the hostel including a housing group, a housing association and a security firm. All denied liability. A night worker said she had patrolled the hostel and had not seen anything unusual that night.
