Willis Index tracks little impact from last year’s hurricanes

Directors’ and Officers’ (D&O) liability, professional indemnity for accountants and auditors, UK environmental insurance, and UK financial institutions, were all lines of business where rates were expected to be impacted by last year’s hurricanes. However, according to the latest Willis Index, all of these areas have seen rates either remaining static or reducing. The Willis Index is a quarterly survey of London market insurers which asks participants for their views on the underwriting market over the past three and for the next three months.
