Farting chair claim fails

A deputy head teacher who had claimed unfair dismissal and sex discrimination has lost her claim at an employment tribunal. The teacher hit the headlines after she resigned, partly because the school would not replace a chair which made farting noises, causing her embarrassment and great distress on parents’ evenings. She said that she suffered a nervous breakdown as a result.
