Changes to market conditions have been largely sector specific in the UK liability market, with oil and gas the most notable. The losses inflicted by hurricanes Katrina and Rita have fuelled increases for offshore oil and gas exposures, while the Buncefield oil depot explosion may extend this reaction to onshore energy risks as well.
