Permission of court not required for withdrawal of pre-action admission

CPR r 14.1, which dealt with admissions made by a party to an action, did not extend to admissions made before proceedings were begun. Accordingly a party did not require the permission of the court under r 14.1(5) to withdraw a pre-action admission of liability.
