New rights for workers with diabetes

Changes to the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 have come into effect that will further the rights of people with diabetes in employment. This should lead to blanket recruitment bans being lifted in the Police, Fire and Ambulance Service. The act will also be extended to include small businesses of 15 employees and less, and prison officers.
