Pupillage not same as membership

A set of barristers’ chambers was a trade organisation but a pupil barrister applying for pupillage was not applying for membership and was therefore unable to claim disability discrimination under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995. The Employment Appeal Tribunal allowed an appeal from a tribunal decision that the applicant could pursue a claim of discrimination.
