Teacher in stress award of £72,547
A former maths teacher has been awarded £72,547 in damages after he suffered a stress-related illness and lost his job. He
sued the council and was originally awarded £101,000, but this was overturned by the Court of Appeal in 2002. However, the
House of Lords has ruled he was entitled to some damages.
