Capita takes over miners’ liability claims
The Capita Group is to manage the contract to administer all UK coalminers’ personal injury liability claims on behalf of
the Department of Trade & Industry. Miners’ claims represent the government’s largest uncapped liability, estimated at £7bn,
with nearly £2bn having been paid out to date.
