Travelers and Equitas settle asbestos claims
Travelers Property Casualty and
Equitas have reached a settlement of policies existing between Travelers and those underwriters at
Lloyd’s reinsured by
Equitas. Under the terms of the agreement, Travelers will receive US$245mn, resolving net claim balances of approximately US$255mn
from
Equitas.
