VCJD risk from human growth hormones

An unknown number of people could contract vCJD from human growth hormones, according to a coroner. A 33-year-old man died after contracting vCJD when he was injected with the hormone as a child. The coroner recorded a verdict of death from a disease caused by the injection of human growth hormones. He has warned that an unknown number of people could contract vCJD from human growth hormones, calling it a “time bomb waiting to explode.”
