Effective date of termination
The Court of Appeal ruled that the effective date of ter mination of employment within section 97 of the Employment Rights
Act 1996 for deciding whether a claim in the employment tribunal was lodged within three months of that date could not be
fixed by agreement between the parties, but was to be objectively determined.
