Slip and trip pensioner gets damages

A pensioner aged 89 has won damages from a supermarket after she slipped on washing liquid that had spilled on the floor. She broke an arm in the fall, and staff who went to help her also ended up slipping on the liquid. Even the paramedics had to wait for the liquid to be cleaned up before they could attend to her. She had claimed £6500 in damages, but agreed to a settlement believed to be around £5000.
