Army officer loses sexual discrimination case

A female officer has lost her claim for sexual discrimination against the Ministry of Defence. She claimed that she was subject to harsher treatment than a major in the Army with whom she had an affair. He was allowed to retire while she was recommended for demotion or dismissal. She also claimed that she had been harassed into having an affair with the major, but this too was rejected by the tribunal.
