Cerebral palsy at birth claim fails

A woman who was left with cerebral palsy as a result of asphyxia during birth has failed in her claim for compensation. The court ruled that the health authority was not liable in any way. The woman’s mother had alleged that staff at the hospital had not prevented the situation and had not delivered the baby quickly enough after the problems were diagnosed.
