Medical negligence claims in Northern Ireland

At the end of January 2004, there were 2374 cases of alleged medical negligence pending in the 19 Health Service Trusts in Northern Ireland. The Royal Group of Hospitals & Dental Hospital HSS Trust has the most claims, with 482, followed by Ulster Community & Hospitals HSS Trust with 291, United Hospitals HSS Hospital Trust with 220, and Altnagelvin Hospitals HSS Trust with 216.
