Stop wasting judicial time

This case involved an appeal from a decision by the Employment Appeal Tribunal which was withdrawn. The Court of Appeal said that there was professional obligation on those advising parties to litigation to alert the court as soon as possible to the likelihood that judicial time would be wasted in preparing for an appeal which either had been settled or was subject to negotiation which might well lead to settlement.
