Brain damage girl compensated

The mother of a girl who suffered brain damage at birth has been awarded £2mn in an out-of-court settlement. The NHS Trust admitted liability. The brain damage was the result of oxygen deprivation caused by a delay before Caesarean section. The girl, now four, is permanently wheelchair-bound. Her life expectancy has been assessed as being as low as 20 years.
