Cancer risk from medical x-rays
The use of medical x-rays causes hundreds of extra cancers each year in the UK, according to researchers from Oxford University
and Cancer Research UK, in a report in the Lancet. The researchers say that around 0.6% of total cancer risk may be the result
of exposure to x-rays in hospitals.
