Anti-monarchy group win damages

A group of people from the Movement Against Monarchy, an anti-monarchy protest group, have won £80,000 in damages after they were unlawfully arrested and falsely imprisoned during the Queen’s Golden Jubilee celebrations in 2002. Each of the 23 protestors will receive £3,500. The case was settled out of court.
