Osama joke not grounds for dismissal
A prison officer has won a claim for unfair dismissal after he lost his job for making a joke about Osama bin Laden. The officer
was passing some keys through an opening in the prison gatehouse. He flicked the keys which made a sound against the metal,
and when asked what the noise was, he said there was a photo of Osama bin Laden in the opening.
