Settlement for Paddington rail crash victim

A passenger involved in the Paddington rail crash has received a settlement of £88,000. The woman was travelling in the middle carriage of the Thames Train, and was knocked unconscious. She was dragged from the carriage by another passenger. She suffered multiple injuries and psychological trauma. The settlement was negotiated between her lawyers, Leigh, Day & Co, and St Paul, the insurers co-ordinating claims on behalf of Thames Trains Limited and Railtrack Plc.
