Med mal reform blocked in Senate
The US Senate bill which would have put a cap on monetary damages in medical-malpractice cases has been blocked by Democrats.
The bill would have capped awards for non-economic damages at $250,000 and punitive damages at the greater of $250,000 or
twice the level of economic damages.
