ABB asbestos settlement
An asbestos settlement has been approved by a US court that caps the liability claims of Swiss industrial firm ABB at $1.3bn.
The settlement ring-fences the company from future asbestos claims and clear the way for an asset sale needed to cut the firm’s
debts. The settlement still has to be finalised pending further information from ABB.
