Lack of knowledge of tribunal practices relevant

Where a notice of appeal to the Employment Appeal Tribunal had been lost in the post, and an extension of time was sought by the applicant, the tribunal should take into account that the applicant was a litigant in person, who did not have knowledge of tribunal practices, and had not been advised of the need to check whether the notice had been received.
