Huntingdon bail-out

For the first time, except the special case of terrorism cover, the UK government is to provide insurance coverage to a commercial entity. This follows last year’s provision of banking facilities to the same firm, in similar circumstances. Worldwide cover has been made available to the controversial experimental centre, Huntingdon Life Sciences, when its broker, Marsh, pulled out after animal rights activists demonstrated outside its offices.
