Gunshot not covered by workers comp, but route for claims expanding

Universal Underwriters Group has turned down a workers’ compensation claim from Jim Nunn, an Oklahoma car salesman wounded during a shooting outbreak that killed two people at the dealership where he worked. The claim was rejected in consideration of whether it was likely that such injury would occur during employment and whether there were known risks involved. The decision will be challenged.
