Travelers Property Casualty Corp is to take a charge of US$1.3bn to boost asbestos reserves, following on reserves of US$950mn
in the third quarter. It has also increased environmental reserves, mostly for pollution claims on corporate clients, by US$100mn
but reduced reserves for old (non-asbestos) work injuries by US$95mn.
