A government sponsored report, published on the Department of the Environment’s website on 24 December, confirms campaigners’
warnings of inadequate buffer zones around genetically modified (GM) crops allowing significant levels of ‘gene flow’ (cross-pollination)
of other crops and weeds up to 200 metres from the GM crop.
