Vaccine complexity
Despite ongoing concerns about the triple MMR vaccine and lowered take up for children there are plans to introduce, over
the next few years, a new range of multiple vaccines to protect against seven diseases. There are also plans to add chickenpox
vaccine making MMR a quadruple vaccine. As the prime basis for concern, as in separate legal action on Gulf War Syndrome,
is the effect on vulnerable individuals of a cocktail of drugs (single event overload) surely it is time the government backed
down and gave parents the legal choice of single or multiple protection for their children. Do they really want to risk another
‘thalidomide’?
