Damages for fraudulent inducement to buy shares

Where a claimant was fraudulently induced to buy shares at a price above their true value he was entitled to compensation of the excess paid plus expenses. The fact that he chose to retain the shares, which subsequently rose in value, had no bearing on the compensation payable.
