Deduction of housing benefit

Applying the general principle laid down in Hodgson v Trapp on deduction of benefits received from damages for loss of earnings, it was held that this included deduction of housing benefit (although neither specified nor excluded in the underlying legislation) where the recipient would otherwise have paid for accommodation out of earnings.
