St Paul sets up new syndicate
The
Lloyd’s non-life operations of Minnisota-based St Paul Cos Inc, will be combined into a single syndicate 5000, underwriting from
2003 with a capacity of £435mn. It will mainly underwrite marine, aviation and property business. The new syndicate is successor
to syndicate 1211 but life syndicate 779 will continue to operate as a mixed-capital syndicate.
