SVB exits UK liability
Lloyd’s managing agency SVB Syndicates has decided to withdraw from writing US liability reinsurance in 2003, believing this can
be ‘replaced with other, more attractive, business’. SVB’s three nonmarine syndicates will have a combined capacity of £438mn
for that year, the planned move leaving about £50mn premium volume to replace.
