Personal injuries assessment board
The Irish government is to launch a new Personal Injuries Assessment Board (PIAB) before year-end. Aiming for a substantial
cut in legal costs in personal injury cases, it will include all 67 recommendations of the Motor Insurance Advisory Board.
The stated aim is not to reduce the levels of compensation, only the costs of delivery.
