A-level mess

As a result of the A-level furore, 360,000 papers from 90,000 students have been reassessed and 10,000 papers upgraded. This has led to the upgrade of almost 2,000 A-level grades, affecting just over 1,000 students, although most unit changes leave grades unchanged. On an individual basis, 168 young people have failed to get their rightful place at university of choice and 73 their course of choice.
