WTC site raises asbestos concerns
After taking samples of dust from more than 100 World Trade Center sites, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) found
just over one-third contained ‘slightly’ more than 1% asbestos, the level at which something is classified as ‘asbestos-containing’
and special safeguards are needed for its handling.
