Prime reason for dismissal
The Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT) has considered the balance between dismissal for economic, technical or organisational
(ETO) reasons entailing changes to the workforce (covered by TUPE Reg 8(2)) and whether this can constitute a dismissal for
reasons connected with the transfer of undertaking (TUPE Reg 8(1)), or whether the two are mutually exclusive.
