‘Threat to Equitas’
The annual meeting of
Equitas was dominated by concern over increased asbestos filings. Claims director Scott Moser characterised this as ‘the most serious
threat to
Equitas’s financial wellbeing’. Claims increased by 33% in 1999 and 20% in 2000.
