Tribunal review seeks less lawyer involvement

Sir Andrew Leggatt’s review of tribunals includes recommendations that the role of lawyers be reduced and funding be limited to representation in exceptional circumstances of legal complexity, or physical or mental incapacity. He believes representation ‘adds unnecessarily to cost, formality and delay’.
