Oftel has put forward proposals for new conditions to telecoms operators’ licences for the control of electromagnetic interference. Because of concerns that technologies using radio frequencies to transmit high-speed data can interfere with wireless systems, operators will be required to take reasonable steps to remove any source of harmful interference. Consultation ends on 16 November.
